Community Involvement

MVP Plastics believes in giving back and our company and staff are active community members that support and volunteer for local charities. CEO/President, Darrell McNair is actively involved and encourages staff involvement as well.

Real Life 101

Real Life 101, a 501(c)(3) organization, provides college scholarships for selected inner city, African American males who are graduating from high school. The organization, founded in 2000, has awarded more than 500 scholarships and over 1500 laptop computers to inner city African American males. Real Life is a national program with the mission to improve the negative statistics relative to African American males in America. Each scholarship student receives the following:

  • The opportunity to obtain a degree of his choice (in up to 5 years)
  • An annual scholarship of $1,000 for up to five years
  • A laptop computer equipped with software
  • A computer backpack
  • A certified Real Life Mentor for up to 5 years while in the Real Life program.

The Presidents’ Council Foundation

Backed by a wide variety of public and private funding sources, the PCF’s core mission is to act as the catalyst for change and improvement in Northeast Ohio’s economy through its support of entrepreneurial training, economic research and other charitable causes.  Along with other strategic partners, chief amongst these initiatives are Emerging Entrepreneurs and PC Scholars programs.

Relay for Life

Each year, more than 4 million people in over 20 countries raise much-needed funds and awareness to save lives from cancer through the Relay For Life movement.

Greater Cleveland Food Bank

Throughout Northeast Ohio, one in six people is food insecure – meaning they may not know where their next meal will come from. The Greater Cleveland Food Bank seeks to bridge the meal gap, connecting individuals with the nutritious meals they need to succeed.

The Greater Cleveland Food Bank is the largest hunger relief organization in Northeast Ohio having provided 47.8 million meals in 2015 to hungry people in Cuyahoga, Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake, Ashland and Richland counties. Our mission is to ensure that everyone in our communities has the nutritious food they need every day.
